Iguana cay weather forecast - the first step before planning a trip
Turks & Caicos is one of the Caribbean’s mildest, most pleasurable locations. Constant easterly trade winds provide cooling breezes, and temperatures remain quite constant. Winter temperatures average 70°F with daytime highs of 80°F and nighttime lows of 65°F. Summer months are warmer, averaging 83°F. Daytime highs can reach 90°F with nighttime temperatures dropping to 75°F. Humidity in the Turks & Caicos Islands is always very low. The Turks & Caicos Islands also enjoy a great deal of sun, averaging just 22-40 inches of rainfall annually, with the lower totals accumulating in the south (Grand Turk, Salt Cay, and South Caicos) and the higher totals in the north (West Caicos, Providenciales, and North Caicos). Ocean water temperatures at the surface range between 78°F and 82°F in the winter months (perfect for swimming and snorkeling) and even higher in the summer months, when they reach 82°F to 86°F. The hurricane season is June through October. Turks & Caicos, though, hasn't suffered a serious blow from a hurricane since the 1960s, as we are situated outside what is referred to as the "hurricane belt" (evidenced by the fact that the most ferocious storms in recent memory — 2003's Isabel, 2004's Frances, Jeane, and Ivan, and 2005's Rita, Katrina, and Wilma — all bypassed the TCI).
